When its done in London, it can’t get any more fashionable than that. London Fashion Week Spring/Summer’18 presentation just got over, naturally I had my eyes locked to this event and I made sure that I share some of the highlights and trends I witnessed from our attendance to a few selected events.
I was invited to attend a few London Fashion Week shows arranged by the Oxford Fashion Studio on 16th September. Neatly arranged open air ramp in the Devonshire Square in the heart of the City continued to be the chosen location to unravel the latest designs of the upcoming designers from around the world.I also had a chance to pop into backstage for a glimpse of what goes behind the scenes. I have to thank the PR team for this access.
Goncalo Peixoto, Parking Level, Marina Furin, Ayaso Boutique, DisOwned – all the designers unveiled their collection at the 5pm runway show. Unique, stylish and trendy, what was on offer on the very first episode of the event set the expectations very high. I have created a vlog and shared below for you all to see all the actions as up, close and personal as it can get.
I love Fashion Week, and although it is one of my favorite times of year, it’s also in some ways one of the most stressful time for influencer or bloggers. I’m certainly not complaining as I feel so blessed to be able to attend shows, but its lot of effort to be everywhere looking at your best, there is lot of pressure, lets be honest. I usually have travel-fashion packing down to a science as I get enough time in advance to plan, but it came as a huge last-minute-thing when I returned from Budapest just a couple days before London Fashion Week and realised I have ”nothing to wear” at the show. Nearly overnight, I put up a look with all things Zara except my boots. I picked up this beautiful on-trend houndstooth mini-dress with high-neck and paired it with this season’s must-have- a ring handle bag. Yes, this season rings become handles! Whether you opt for a minaudière bag for party or for a tote to take to the office, ring handle bags are the current obsession! You may argue about how functional this clutch but I ended up loving it with this look!
All the elements of this look are eventually your ultimate Autumn obsession. I love blood red, tangerine, maroon for Autumn but I also have fallen for the gorgeous warm hue of this bag. My key for styling bold Autumn colors is to mix it with Autumnal patterns- plaid or houndstooth, and some fun accessories. I styled this high neck dress with a pair of knee-high suede boots and statement earrings to match. What do you guys think of my look?
