I promised to you this week that there will be a series of party wear posts from my desk on the Holiday Season Lookbook. Incase you have missed my take on what to wear on an office Christmas party, click here to read and get inspired. The mantra of the festive season means that you have to make merry with your various social spheres. So in this post of the Holiday Season Lookbook, I bring to you what to wear for a brunch or a few cocktails with your girlfriends.
I have put on a lace maxi dress with lace frill sleeves which is simple, stylish and elegant. With loose curls with the intention to let the hair down, the smokey eyes and the coral-ish lips went in sync with the glamour quotient of the occasion. In tune with the style were a pair of Dune London shoes which were the Manolo Blahnik high street version. Icing on the cream was certainly the handbag from my favourite Indian designer LoveToBag who made my holiday season even more special with this personalised clutch with my initials embroidered on it. No wonder TG can stand for “Thank God” but also for “Tanusree Ghosh” or simply to say to LoveToBag – “That’s Great”! In any case, these clutches with initials are a sure-shot winners for the fashionistas around the world who want to leave their mark on the elements they carry on them.
Finally, the look, the style and substance will not blend in well unless the location is not up to mark. Covent Garden in the very heart of Central London was all decked up in the holiday fervor with Christmas decorations all around. What a perfect occasion and location to put on the look and drown in laughter and may be in a few more drinks with your besties!
