One can always attempt to guess whether Belgravia is the first neighbourhood in London to eagerly welcome spring with open arms? No doubt even when in April the weather gods continued to be mercurial by delaying the spring blossoms to flourish in London, atleast the shop fronts in Belgravia appeared adamant enough to opt for a floral frenzy any ways. So in an attempt to woo spring to arrive on time, I donned a floral print dress and found myself in front of the floral displays in Belgravia.
My preferred destination for a floral flurry that weekend was in front of the impressive decoration put together by Les Senteurs. The plush perfumery in Elizabeth Street in Belgravia surely knows well how to tantalise the senses. Notwithstanding their mastery over the sense of smell, they turned to be equally adept at visual delights, as evident from the tasteful floral decoration at the shop front.
Braving the blatant drizzle and whimsical winds, I held on to my style instincts to blend my floral and pastel attire with the backdrop. Dedication to style, substance and content creation was so high that day that I even requested a car owner who suddenly parked in front of the shop to kindly park her car elsewhere because I wanted to get a full frontal frame of the floral display in front of Les Senteurs captured in my camera. The lady politely obliged and I had the floral fiesta all for myself.
Flowers in the park or flower displays in shop decors, spring is certainly late this time in London. But the fashionista can always spring up at the right locations in the right attire for pleading spring to finally descend.
