A few days ago, London saw the launch of two of London’s most Instagram-worthy events- Chelsea Flower Show and Chelsea in Bloom.
The first showcases some of the worlds finest gardeners’ handiwork, the latter sees some of your favourite stores completely transformed into floral works of art. Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the Chelsea in Bloom festival was a competition which sees retailers adorn their shops with floral displays which are judged by an expert panel. While Chelsea was in bloom, why should Mayfair stay behind! Mayfair was brought to life almost a fortnight ago by The Flower Box with the arrival of RHS Chelsea Flower Show. An explosion of florals dramatically transformed the Birley stable of Mayfair clubs and restaurants into a spectacular display of summer’s most resplendent flowers.
In the past two weeks, the most Instagrammable place in London had to be the floral facade of Annabel’s Mayfair. The four-storey facade of Annabel’s in the legendary Berkeley Square was covered completely in burgundy, fuschia and pale pink hydrangeas and became a slice of horticultural heaven for passers-by.
It has to be my favourite display of this Spring, hence it gets its own post on my blog.
Some may say, Annabel’s Mayfair has gone overboard, well, I say, you are wrong!
