Welcome to OneTimeFashionista where we blog about vogue, voyage and voracity- what we wear, where we travel to and what we cook. Its two of us – Tanusree & Shehzaad – sharing our lives since 1999. For us London is home now and we travel around the world. We have traveled to 45 countries together, and counting.
I am Tanusree, Founder & Blogger-in-Chief and I am in charge of strategic, editorial, photographic and aesthetic decisions for this blog.
I am an evangelical sharer of things that make me happy – be it the food I cook, the look I sport and the experience of travelling. This blog is my platform to share with you all this daily happiness I gather in life.
I am academically and professionally trained in English literature, Human Resource Management and Research Methods. After having worked as a lecturer of Business Management, HR professional and a researcher, I realised that I don’t find a mundane 9 to 5 job challenging anymore. At this point of life, what I love the most is travelling to places.
I step out and I look around, I walk and I take a pause – to take a lot of photos of elements around me. I believe everything can be photographed and what can be photographed well can eventually bring ample profit at times.
New culture, new language and new countries excite my senses and renew my joie de vivre, so much so that I can open new doors and create this bridge of newness with new communities in several languages such as English, French, German, Hindi and Bengali.
I am Shehzaad – Beautographer, Technical & Business Lead in charge of technical, business, and partner development activities of this blog.
As a day job, I am a Program and project management professional in the largest gaming company of the world called IGT. I am also a freelance, part-time translator and voice over artist in English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Hindi & Bengali.
Both of us have experience of working and living in India, Bangladesh and the UK. Our skills complement each other and our passions overlap especially that of travelling. We had a humble wedding ceremony, live now in a humble house, have no cars or any valuable assets.
Our mantra of life is not to invest in material possessions but in making memories instead, because we believe that “travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer!”
