My fashionistas, I was at the Bobbi Brown Cosmetic in Selfridges London some time ago to attend a complimentary face-lift lesson. During the lesson I have discovered how to plump, brighten, pop, define and finish my look using Bobbi Brown’s stunning brightening Nude collection….all by myself. Thanks to the make-up artist Amy. These are few photos to share with you all to give a glimpse of what all I have learnt and unlearned about make-up, also I have listed the products that were tested on me to get the perfect nude look to go with this spring-summer trend and also I’m sharing with you all few tricks and tips I gathered from the make-up artist at Bobbi Brown.
Cleanse your face, use your toner and then apply this moisturizer cum primer hydrating cream on your face and this eye cream under your eye.
Choose a foundation suitable to your skin tone. These 3 foundation were initially selected to try on my skin.
Tips: Choose the right foundation that blends well with your skin tone. I always see the most make-up faux-pas by Asian women who always want to have a fair and lighter skin when they apply make-up and without understanding their own skin tone, they go for a foundation way too lighter, probably that most suitable for white women, you end up looking like a circus clown. Please avoid the temptation of looking fair by applying a 2/3 shades lighter foundation than your original skin tone.
We selected this foundation stick 4.5 after testing 3 different shades on my face that we initially thought be appropriate but it wasn’t.
I do not have dark circle or deep dark socket around my eyes, but these medium dark bisque corrector and warm natural concealer can be used on someone like me whose under eye skin blends naturally well with the skin tone all over the face.
Warm natural skin foundation!
Best make-up tip: Always apply your foundation with a brush. You get the best result.
The star blush: Pot rouge powder pink.
Amy then applied a raisin berry lipstick on me using a lip brush.
This brightening powder is a master piece!
After you are done with your base make-up, just take the brush and sweep all over the palette and start air brushing on your cheek bones and T-zone of your face.
Bobbi rightly says, “It’s not about trying to look younger – it’s about looking fresher and better.” I felt fresh and light.
Try the nude collection by Bobbi Brown Cosmetics! You will know why I’m going ga ga over them.
