My fashionistas, here is a look I donned yesterday-on my partner’s birthday. I wore this new coral peplum top from ZARA. Peplums are my current favourite as they come as a gown, skirt, top, cocktail dress or even a A-line shift dress!
I first saw a peplum-do on Former Miss world Aishwarya Rai at Cannes Film festival in 2011 in a Elie Saab off-shoulder gown from Spring 2011 couture collection. I just knew then that this is going to be a style statement comeback for this year. Here you go!!! All high street brands are stocked with Peplums now.
Peplums are great for women who wants to have a more defined waist. However, women like me who are genetically curvy and have definition around the waist-line can do without this as Peplum makes us look lil plump;) So, before sporting a full-fledged peplum dress, I tried a peplum top first.
I teamed up this look with my brand new white lace skirt from Primark which I bought quite some time ago but wore it first time yesterday. I dug out my jewellery collection the other day and found this royal yet girly pearl neckpiece from Topshop. Layers of pearls bring a sense of elegance to any outfit and this large flower attached make it perfectly girly. I couldn’t think of anything better than this pair of nude pump from Aldo to wear with this outfit and carry this faux snake skinned mint green vanity bag from Primark, replica of a Chloe bag, If I tell you th eoriginal price of it, you will be excited and surprised at the same time. This is what I call smart-shopping when you sport a fashionista look with a total burgain buy. I love the golden lock particularly. Some soft curls with a half-up do completed this look. I thought my latest buy-the chubby stick Mega Melon by Clinique would go perfectly well with the coral peplum top. I love matching my nails with the lip:) I wanted to keep it minimal as far as eye make-up is concerned as it was a day-out look, so just put one coat of my ivory Mac and then wore my black liquid eye-liner by Illamasqua . Voila!0
