My fashionistas, hope you all had a fun filled christmas this year! I wanted to share with you what I wore on Christmas day. I wanted it to be a semi-formal Look for the big christmas lunch, at the same time I wanted it to be comfy as I was the host with the most (at the kitchen area);) I must share that I had to work half day even on christmas eve, finished work to make a visit to the supermarket to grab some essential herbs for my turkey roast for christmas lunch, oh boy! that visit to supermarket was a riot. I was completely exhausted running from one corner to the other, imagine how it could be on christmas eve! All my efforts brought result when i saw some lovely vegetarian mince pies smiling on my two-tier serving dish.
I team my knit jumper up with a sky blue shirt that I wear at work preferably from Monday-Thursday. I simply love this applique work on the collar. This brings back memories of my partner’s grandfather whom i never met but had seen photographs in which he donned applique collar shirt in 1950’s, whoever said ”Fashion evolves and comes back after few years” was so right!
Here are few photos clicked after almost 3 months( I suffered from chicken pox in November and hence, no photos taken since then) on Christmas morning and later post lunch when we had strolled around the neighbourhood to compensate the big feast we had;)
Since it’s the festival and party season, I am all UP for a bit of shimmer and glitter. I painted my nails in midnight blue and put a glitter coat on top (ignore my broken thumb and middle finger nails) and matched my eye make-up using Blooz and Petrol blue pencils. Blend these two shades and you will get the result you see on me, probably better:) My nailpaint, eye make-up went so well with the shirt and the pop of blue in the jumper, this is what I call serendipity! Not planned at all but I can tell you how it can happen to anyone, if you keep the trend of season in mind, you will know how it can incorporate with everything you sport. It happens with me all the time!
I always keep telling that you just need ONE accessory to dazzle an ordinary Look, yes only one. In this Look, it is my brown leather boots which just brought sunshine to an otherwise gloomy, rainy, grey, damp weather and added some light to the photographs (my photographer friends will know what I meant here).
