My fashionistas, accessorising your outfit is adding salad to your meal! Accessories are ignored by many, it plays a significant role to complete your look! So I have decided to share with you all the latest addition to my box of accessories- a piece of earcuff! Earcuffs are au courant accessory! You can never go wrong with vintage inspired jewelry. A burnished gold ear cuff anchors three gold chains that attach to a gold stud cuff with a leaf and turquoise, yellow and fuchsia pink medallion. It’s perfectly trendy and perfectly vintage. Here is how I team it up for a day trip to the southcoast of England during the long sunny Bank Holiday weekend.
I went for a exploratory drive through the iconic English sights and landed up at the super windy Whitecliffs of Seven Sisters. Sea green maxi dress against Whitecliffs will be picturesque, I knew it! So, there you go! I think about colors, how they contribute to a great photograph being clicked, this is why I chose to go for this color for this particular location. Why maxi dress? This jersey maxi dress is a staple item for your Spring-summer 13 wardrobe! Featuring a soft, figure- skimming material, a racer sea green, and a maxi length, what’s not to love? This season, I’d team it with a pair of gladiator or plain flat sandals, a bright satchel or box bag and few pieces of statement jewellery to finish the look. It was a sunny and warm-ish day. But it was very windy as well. So I had to go for an outfit that will be summer-y at the same time it will save me from my ”Marilyn moment”: gust of wind that lifts the dress and could make me dotty;)
I have accessorized a plain jersey maxi dress with a slick brown belt to break the singularity and oneness. It gives a definition to your curves. Wear or tie your belt creatively, like I did here. There are plenty of ways to tie a belt. This is just one of them. Play with it, you will find your way:)
Flat sandals are your staples to make every walk a complete enjoyable and relaxing experience. I had to opt for flats so that I could appreciate the beauty of Whitecliffs and enjoy its special appeal by taking one of the dramatic cliff-top walks offering unrivalled views of the busy English Channel and the French coast.
Living in England now makes me a believer of this saying- ”there is nothing called bad weather, you just have to be dressed right”, so I have put on a waterfall cardigan on top of my maxi dress to save me freezing in the wind and in that theory, I have tied my hair in a donut bun to protect my hair from the salty air of English Channel.
Colors define me. When I go out and see Londoners dressed in Black and white, I find it dreary. Colors are life, they are fun and they are fresh. To color-block this jersey maxi dress, I have picked up some of my metal bangles and went on adding one by one, let your mirror decide when to stop!
I always find something or the other suitable in my closet to accessorize my newly purchased outfits. No exception this time round, I thought this box satchel from my collection would perfectly match and color-block with my maxi dress and bangles.
Try it, if you like it, drop me a line at the comment section, remember I like to hear what you have to say.
