Jatra’s Spring Must-have Blouse

My fashionistas, a surge of fresh colors and retro print invigorate my first spring look of this year because there is no better time to replace black and grey with balmy colors. Although fashion connoisseurs have announced it to be a season with the gamut pretty pastels to intense primarys  with some heavy metals in between.

I have always believed in breaking the norms and living by my own rules- so I’ll call it a season of colorful equilibrium. I am going to take a modern twist on the traditional for Spring 2014 by pairing soft pastels with vivid brights to create a colorful equilibrium.

Inspired by a mixture of blooming Daffodils (almost in every parks in London now) and retro print influenced by neo-romanticism art , I have dared to color spray this Spring-look to refresh, revive and defy conventional wisdom.

Top tip: Twist soft pastels like Violet tulip with vivid brights like Radiant Orchid. Team it up with a pair of metallic shoes. Heels or no heels.

So, my wardrobe is having a brighter beginning for Spring with this must-have blouse from Jatra- a journey into craft. I had seen this blouse on their Facebook page few weeks ago, as they don’t have an online shop. This post will be incomplete if I don’t take the opportunity to thank Tanessa -one of the regular and passionate OTF followers who had been kind and sweet enough to visit the store in Dhaka for me and sent this here in London. I am humbled, chuffed and overwhelmed at the same time realizing this world is still having a place for selfless people like her.

If you know me well,  you have probably noticed that very seldom I wear Jeans, primarily because I find colored chinos, skirts and dresses with sheer tights are more comfortable to wear and also looks feminine. But how can we forget that Jeans are the ultimate go-to piece and the foundation of every woman’s wardrobe. So, as soon as I saw this blouse, I knew I’m going to wear them with these boyfriend jeans with roll up legs. Spring is also the time to show your ankle, so  this emerald green peep-toe stilletos have completed the look.

Spring your wardrobe with color equilibrium this Spring! Drop me a line at the comment section as I like to hear what you have to say.
