My fashionistas, it’s a shame we’re still having to wear tights in end-March. But not when they’re this cute! I have worn this pair of emosh tights today during my weekly visit to the Supermarket. Yes, as we have seen last month at the Paris Fashion week, Karl Lagerfeld turned the famous fashion house’s runway show into the chicest supermarket around as Cara Delevingne and Kendall Jenner took to the catwalk. So, why not getting inspired and making an effort to trend the ”great equaliser”, as he claims it!
I believe a pair of fabulous tights have the power to complete the look. From simple, figure-flattering black to embellishment and prints, tights are a wardrobe essential for the winter. But they can be very useful during Spring and Autumn too, especially when you live in a city like London - one of the only cities where you will need to pack an umbrella and sunglasses to be prepared for all eventualities! Sexy suspender styles are a key look, and ribbed materials give any outfit a cosy but cool edge. If you are brave enough, glittered and polka dot details are also bang on trend. But my favourite are the black sheer tights with cute emoticons:) Such a mood uplifter!
Tights are so versatile that they’re perfect for creating a laidback look, or a glammed-up outfit, and the trend is set to continue next season. A visiting friend from India once asked me why women in London wear tights if they have to cover their legs from freezing cold, why can’t they wear Jeans, instead? This is why I call tights versatile! You can team your tights with a gorgeous shift dress, statement heels or flats and add a fitted blazer for an understated, fashionable work look. But if you are going out in the weekend, try having fun with leather skirt, cool t-shirt and bright sky-high block heels like I did here. Talking about leather skirt, this is also one of my new buys from last week. Leather skirts are also your ultimate wardrobe staple, I reckon. I couldn’t think of any other shape but an A-line leather skirt as it works for most body types. Faux is good. It is less expensive and ethical.
Try a pair of tights this Spring that screams too-much-fun, unique and edgy. Drop me a line at the comment section as I like to hear what you have to say.
