Two Saturdays ago, team One Time Fashionista had been to the Frock me! Vintage Fashion Fair. It is one of London’s original and most well known vintage fashion fairs (aka my heaven) with a huge cult following, held at Chelsea Old Town Hall throughout the year .
First established at Kensington Town Hall in the 1990’s, the Frock Me! event has been a fixture on the vintage scene for more than a decade on the King’s Road. At the fair, 5o+ exhibitors were selling a complete cross section of vintage clothing and accessories from the 1900s right up to Eighties. Some vintage traders who have been with the organisers since the inception of Frock Me! Many of them are regular stallholders and can be found at each fair- each with their own speciality, knowledge and showcase of vintage fashion, textiles, accessories and haberdashery. With its emphasis on designer fashion, this is one of London’s pricier vintage fairs, however you can still find a real bargain if you are prepared to browse. We have come back with these wonderful pictures from the fair. There are also some photos of the vintage clothes and accessories that I’ve liked in particular, seen here holding and showing them for you all e.g. Sh! Little Sister, Ooh la la! Vintage, Hope & Harlequin to name a few.
At each fair they also host a popular nostalgic pop up tea room, run by the award winning Blackbird Tea Rooms from Brighton. So, don’t forget to stop for a slice of Victoria’s Sponge with a cuppa served in a vintage cup & saucer at the amazing tea room if you go to the next one!
Next The Frock Me! Vintage Fashion Fair will be Sunday 1 February 2015
11am-5.30pm | Chelsea Old Town Hall | King’s Road | London SW3 5EE. Tickets for each event are available in advance on the Fairs Dates page.
Don’t forget to holler if you happen to raid there!
