My fashionistas, the natural eye shadow trend is here to stay and they are not even boring as you would thought so. In this post, I am going to share what a happy bunny I have been because, finally, my ultimate  neutral eye shadow palette hunt is over now. Urban Decay Naked 3: the eye shadow palette everyone must have regardless of your skin tone, because you will use every color in this palette, I promise.

I have read rave reviews of Urban Decay and their coveted palettes for the last couple of years, which is why I’m excited to share with you the newest and latest addition to my make-up collection : the Naked 3 palette. It has 12 different colours, from light, smooth mattes, shimmering pinks, to deep glittering black shades. After using it a few times in the past two weeks, my verdict is, they put a lot of thought into the color selections; giving each shade its velvety texture, rich colour, serious staying power and blendability. Most of the shadows are obviously of pink family, perfect for transitioning from creating day look with dreamy eyes on dewy face to bold smoky eye night look, but there’s a variety of colours within the pink family such as purple and copper-ish brown which makes it exciting and less monotonous. There’s a good balance between the number of mattes and shimmers, especially the highlight colors and the transitional colors for the crease. The versatility of this palette is great, in that you can create tons of different and unique looks.

Besides the beautiful shadows, the thing I like most about this palette is the packaging. The exterior is made out of plastic, and has this shine of a metallic base. There’s a clasp so it closes securely; I won’t have to worry about it while travelling, less chance of breakage! Similar to the other NAKED palettes, this one also includes a double-ended brush. The great thing about this brush is that one side is a crease brush. You can use it to pad the shadows on the eye-lid to really emphasize the makeup look. Also, included in this palette is eyeshadow primer, not one, not two but in total four  vibrant, crease-free colors, isn’t that amazing? Each primer potion will last at least 2 weeks even if you use them every day. Just a dab of  either Sin, Eden, Original or Anti-ageing primer will prevent fading and creasing your eyeshadow for 24 hours.  If you’re a beginner with makeup, or this is your first palette, these primer potions are extremely handy and can help you improve your eye make-up skills. Remember: practice makes perfect!

Out of all the shadows, my favorite color would have to be NOONER, which is a deep plum color. It is perfect as an all-over crease color, DUST on the centre of the lid, blend with LIMIT on the all-over lid and adding the color BLACKHEART, a glittering black shade in the outer corner of the eyes to add some definition would look perfect for a night out! I love a shimmer highlight, so this gorgeous champagne-ivory color called STRANGE would be great for under the brows.

There’s such a wide range of colors you can use; you can definitely create a day-to-night look with just this one palette. The warmer colors are perfect for an everyday look keeping it au-naturel, giving a softer appearance. You can also then amp up your look for the night time using the darker, cooler shadows. I’d definitely recommend this for anyone who wants to push boundaries and create versatile looks yet having a naked face. Who doesn’t want to sport a no-make-up-look wearing neutral eyeshadows from Urban Decay Naked 3 palette?
