Our first day in Luxor started with a welcome view of the gently flowing river Nile through the room window of Hotel Sonesta St. George Luxor. At far distance we could see the imposing Valley of Kings & Temple of Hatshepstut.
Egypt Lookbook: In TribebyAmrapali’s Chandrika Earcuff
We eventually went to see these locations along with the Valley of Queens. Amazing were the tombs of Tut & Ramses VI whereas the Valley of Queens was disappointing. We will share our detailed travel stories of these places in our future travel posts under Voyage. For a day out to witness all of these creative ingenuity in the country ”where it all began”, I played dressed up into exquisite one of a kind piece from Chandrika Collection by TribebyAmrapali of Amrapali Jewels. Hard not to get everything from them! My favourite thing about the Chandrika collection is that they come in different mythical creature shapes and Indian charm motifs. So you can mix, match and layer a variety of pieces depending on your mood and outfit.
What better way to accent a simple maxi dress than with the first iconic collection for Tribe- Chandrika, inspired by museum relics. This full-sleeve maxi dress with side slits is a nice, breezy yet modern and kind of the perfect thing to wear out to sight-seeing in Luxor. It ticks all the boxes- from comfort to modest clothing (a must when in Egypt!).
I enjoyed dressing up the look with a vintage lace waistcoat and a versatile silver beaded bucket bag. I like that I can go for making a statement in one and be a little more bold and layer a few. Wearing my hair in a top bun, I made sure my museum-worthy pink enamel coin earcuffs are visible at all time. Plus they compliment this boho look so nicely, the trick is just deciding on when not to wear!
