It was the last day of our epic voyage of Egypt- where it all began. We drove more than four hours south of Luxor, to Aswan and Edfu. The Temple of Horus at Edfu and Temple of Philae in Aswan were strikingly beautiful and different than Karnak or Luxor Temples. On way back, we caught an amazing light display by the setting sun on the river Nile as we draw the curtain to discover the land of the Pharaohs.
Now some may think that road trips aren’t fun in the Egypt, but a day trip to Aswan and Edfu is highly recommended. You get to see all the beautiful temples embodying 4500 years of history and the stunning Egyptian sunset that it has to offer and above all it’s a lot of fun with the beautographer by my side!
We figured that the Temple premises would be a great place to shoot one of my favourite looks for these kind of laid-back days as it adds a character to it. And this time it’s all about the maxi dress from Asos that I completely fell in love with. Whilest I love maxi dresses in general and especially for these day trips, I always search for one with something extra special. This time it was all about the high-low silhouette, blouson sleeve and shoulder detailing. Also I think it’s key that the fabric of a maxi dress is light and soft. Only then I’m allowed to entirely enjoy the warm days while looking like I put a little effort into the look. That’s why a pastel hued high-low maxi dress is perfect for the spring-summer season.
As you know, depending on my mood, I either love a very simple ‘less is more’ look or I love to go all in with something extra special. And this dress is absolutely one to point out, so I reached out for all white accessories. A pair of white gladiator mid-heels and a lovespell pearl heart minaudière have finished out this look.
