There’s an old school yet playful charm about polka-dots that’s hard to resist! It brings cheer and joy to any outfit!
Speaking of emotional value that clothes have, how many of you are of the same opinion that dressing is an emotional experience? Regardless of body-shape, well-fitting clothes make us feel good. This happiness radiates throughout our day, influencing people around us. When we are happy, it reflects on everything we say and do, and most fascinating thing about it, is, it’s contagious.
Although clothes are still seen a way to cover up your body as a member of civilised society. I understand the practical function of clothes, I am also a believer of its emotional perspective. When we spot something that looks great on us, whether it’s a blazer, dress or shoes, a jolt of confidence springboards our day. Our posture gets corrected automatically, we smile more, and we feel like meeting people we know or not. I believe that fashion is a journey to discovering our individual style, one that makes us feel content inside out and look confident outside.
Wearing a body con dress with off-shoulder details made me discover a new side of my personal style that suits my au naturale it’s-all-about the-derriere shape. Sharp and cut-to-fit silhouette of the dress also elongated my shoulder; perfect for those with broad shoulder with a pop of collar bone.
Wearing my hair in top bun, I have styled the dress with a pair of black stilettos. A sunshine yellow messenger bag and tangerine lips were incorporated to bring out a pop of colour to this otherwise almost monochromatic look.
Have a good weekend! If you are up for an outfit inspiration for the weekend-do, you know where to go now!
