So the winter has set in, when the air holds the cold and slouching in the couch in the chilly evenings seems to be a lucrative option for many.
Tequila shots to keep you hot? May be not. Some tea or coffee in a pot? Such an over-used thought! Why not instead let some hot chocolate let you off the chill that certainly has stopped to thrill? While you browse through the shallow topics on Facebook and life appears at times tad hollow, make way for some marshmallow, to dive straight into the hot chocolate and you will see in no time that warm happiness will soon follow.
Ingredients I Used:
200ml of semi-skimmed milk
Hot Chocolate Mix
2 tablespoons cornflour
3 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 pinch ground cinnamon
100 g quality dark chocolate (optional)
Step one: Pour the milk into a large pan, and bring almost to the boil over a medium heat.
Step two: Meanwhile, add all the chocolate mix ingredients to a large jar, finely grating in the chocolate, then give it a good shake to combine.
Step three: You need around 4 heaped tablespoons of the chocolate mix for this amount of milk. Simply spoon the chocolate mix into the hot milk, give it a good whisk and leave to bubble away for a few minutes before serving – you’re looking for that smooth, thick, almost claggy, knockout texture.
Excuse me now! I gotta rush to cuddle with a book and snuggle with a mug of this awesomeness in my hand.
