Christmas/Party/Holiday Season Lookbook

Who says the four seasons take their turns in the weather and go round and round as the pages of the calendar flip? 2016 just passed by in the blink of an eye, it seems. I’m so excited for Christmas and have so many fun things planned this next week.

Although I won’t be going to any New Years’ parties this year, but I wanted to give you a little inspiration in case you are! Right now most retailers and brands are guaranteeing delivery by Christmas Eve, which is perfect if you are searching for your NYE or other party outfit still and need it in time. I shared these four looks on my Instagram over the past few weeks because I just couldn’t wait to show you about it!I delayed this post purposefully as I thought it will be fair to share somewhere closer to both Christmas and New Years Eve. So, you might as well get in the mood by donning four fashionista looks in this party season to carry the flares of fashion that doesn’t rely on the dates of a calendar.

Vivid Velvet: For that holiday brunch with your girlfriends

If you are already enjoying your long pending annual leaves piled up to celebrate the end of the year festivities, why not wake up lazily late and head for some sumptuous brunch wearing some vivid velvet? Very much trendy and vivacious to say the least, this velvet prom dress styled with thigh high boots are meant to keep your head high in the winter clouds and are a much loved combination this season. While sipping some coffee and devouring some cakes, why not score some brownie points by styling your attire with our favourite ombre LoveToBag clutch? Morning shows the day and the rest of it is likely to be as vivid as what you wore in the morning.

LBD Love: For that office Christmas party/cocktail party

While you stir the cup of tea and swipe your smartphone to see your agenda of the day, you realise that you have the cocktail party to attend after 5. The season is in for your LBD love – the Little Black Dress which is the favourite party-wear loved by every woman in the fashionista mood. I opted for a much adored lace bodied black outfit and got into the majestic mode by donning a princess-like hairstyle. My hand-holding partner for the evening was not any handsome beau but again the first love of every woman – another LoveToBag clutch to clutch onto. But mind you that this season is all about showing off your metal when you take your best foot forward. So I had my metallic Dune London shoes to create some ding-dong when I walk.

Monochrome Monopoly: For that modest family gatherings

Siri can be silly when it reminds you that you have to rush out to the family gathering and the office party right after the cocktail party at friends. But don’t feel rushed as long as you have neatly planned your wardrobe to make sure you never run out of steam. And it goes without saying that it doesn’t matter if Chrome is your favourite internet browser or Internet Explorer, every vogue explorer knows by heart that monochromes have a monopoly when it comes to match almost every occasion involving family and colleagues. Monochrome dresses don’t need to be monotonous and read my lips when I say this because I added that red carpet red lipstick by my favourite Charlotte Tilbury to make that point that as long as you use a gentle splash of colour, it perfectly enlivens the otherwise direct blacks and whites you will be wearing. To draw a perfect colourful conclusion on the monochrome monologue that evening, hold onto a red beaded clutch to carry your personality all around it. Finally, you need to make sure that the onlookers bow down seeing the aura you carry. This will happen when you put your best foot forward in the party wearing a pair of jewelled bow tie shoes – certainly in this season and are likely to adorn your fairy-feet in days to come.

Sequences of Sequins: Ushering New Year’s Eve

And right after Christmas chronicles you need to sign off the season by ushering into the new year. If you have been an ardent follower of the fashion sequence, you should know very well by now that sequins are the talk of the town. Perfect to add that glamour and glitter while the clock strikes 12, beat the weather by wearing a pair of suede leather shoes. And while you enjoy the sparkling wine, add some frequent sparkle in your personality with some glittery metallic accessories to match the New Year’s Eve. And while dancing the night away, make sure not to make any faux-pas by carrying your faux-fur in style. Incase your present year was a mixed one, its then best to mix what you wear actually all day long.
