Whether you approve the concept of Valentine’s Day or not, let us not forget that it’s another opportunity to get all dressed up in the name of celebrating love!
Oh yes, who doesn’t love a bunch of roses, a box of your favourite truffles, and that perfectly-fitted red dress? And while I grab every opportunity to wear a bold, red ensemble (last seen here), there are a plentiful other ways to dress up (or down) on Valentine’s Day without looking stereotyped. While my style is quintessentially feminine, the Cupid’s holiday shouldn’t necessarily mean that your clothing choices are limited. Let us explore the endless possibilities of outfits that we can wear on Valentine’s Day dream date night if you happen to be the person who hate the colour red or pink or both.
If you’re planning on spending a romantic, dreamy night out dining at a Michelin star restaurant in your city or on a romantic getaway to Paris or Ibiza or the Bahamas, opt for outfits that feel romantic yet don’t come in the predictable Valentine’s Dy colors -pinks and reds. Style your looks that feature dreamy and princess-like textures like lace or chiffon for a feminine touch – it’s all in the details. A simple silhouette with an embellished top or a tulle skirt or both together if going for that ultimate romantic night out, preferably in softer, pastel hues.
If you prefer to keep your look event appropriate, pick statement accessories and deeper coloured clutch bags– like red or black or pink.
To finish the look, pair with dainty gold jewelry, a strappy pair of nude or ivory heels, and wear your hair in a bouffant updo with make-up consisting of soft grey-to-black-ish smokey eye and natural lips. Melting hearts in no time!
Whoever stated the rule that a red or pink dress is your THE option on Valentine’s Day, had never seen this Lace & Beads maxi tulle skirt with embellished waist and crop top co ord.
