Just freshly returned from an eye-opening and eventful excursion through the heart of Hong Kong and mainland China, its time to share the pearls of wisdom with the ardent followers of our voyage stories here. During this maiden voyage through the very heart of mainland China, we took a total of 11 flights over these 16 day long excursion, covering 6 locations – Hong Kong, Zhangjiajie, Feng Huang, Xi’an, Zhangye and Beijing.
A sure shot way to chill out in Chile would be to spend half a day at the wineries right on the outskirts of the capital Santiago. Flanked by the Andes in one side and the mighty Pacific on the other, the Chilean territory is a winery paradise with ideal temperatures, soil quality, wind and moisture needed for quality grapes to be produced.
As they say that you should not count the years with the number of days in a calendar year. As the pages flip into another year, it is supposed to increase the number of years you have been around. Why quantify this wonderful life we have when we can amplify its value by not counting the days and years but by creating and counting precious experiences and memories every moment. Before the start of 2016, we gave our readers a sneak peek here of our travels plans for the year. We successfully ticked off most of the destinations from our list except a few towards the last quarter of the year which we could not complete, especially to give priority to visiting family related travels. May be it was important to slow down, pause and reflect for a while before refuelling and relaunching ourselves anew for 2017!
Krakow doesn’t want to let you go. After an emotionally heavy tour of the Auschwitz and Birkenau Death Camps, we returned to Krakow to enjoy the remaining sunshine before we wanted to take up the train to Warsaw.
On our 2nd and final day in Krakow, we went to visit the World War II Concentration Camps situated at Auschwitz and Birkenau. Situated less than two hour drive from Krakow, it is imperative for any modern day voyager to treat the visit to these locations as a pilgrimage.
