Memoirs of a wardrobe: Last year’s sale deal

My fashionistas, today I went to an event organized by Starplus TV UK . It was a casual meet and greet event with some celebs visiting from India. I wore my  ZARA top, a New Look cropped neon chinos, a Primark clutch and my favourite sale deal  ZARA  patent leather pointed court shoes in cherry red -all from my last year’s wardrobe. This chinos was everywhere last year, and is here to stay, lots of bloggers in it and they are available in every possible high-street stores and made it in about 7/8 different colours. I saw someone walking around at the clothes show in it too. You have seen me in it before, i am sorry to bore you again;)

My ZARA top and shoes are my great spring-summer SALE DEAL of last year. I love this tiny piece of beauty in my hand-my  faux snake skin clutch with an arm band (which is again en vogue in this season, ZARA have got some wonderful collection of this arm band clutches,go and check it for yourself!). My neon bracelet is from a vintage market in Farringdon (the ones sit during lunch hour) and the oxidized bracelet is from Claire’s. My finger-wide ring is from Dilli Haat, India. As you all know by now that i’m enslaved to MAC cosmetics, so my lipstick and eye make-up are from MAC.

The truth is that i haven’t had the time to go shopping in the past two weeks (a write-up submission due), i mean visiting store in person;) I did some shopping online even in the last weekend. So i thought to make the most use of my wardrobe from last summer;)

Said Enough! Old is gold,ya!!!!

Nude Heels

My fashionistas, everyone needs a nude heel- they go with everything and they make your legs look super long. Yes, trust my word! Nude heels or a pair of nude court shoe can be your one fashion investement that can be paired with almost anything- from a short dress to skirts, from cropped chinos to slim fit jeans. This is a wardrobe MUST for all fashion worshippers-fashionistas. I have to give the credit to the lady and a fashionista i admire who played an important role to assure me from time to time that how essential a nude heel can be for your shoe closet and how it can tone down the look when you pair it with a bright neon outfit. Yes, it is our very own future queen Princess Kate Middleton whom you find donning a L.K.Bennett Nude Heel almost everywhere and with every attire.

So, when i decided to own one, i have researched a lot on the high street and high-end brands before investing on a pair of essential Nude Heels.

IMG_7054This is my 62nd pair of shoes and i found no one better than ZARA that gives me comfort and at the same time can be on budget. You can check Stylistpick’s Louise Roe collection (quite reasonable), you can also go for Dorothy perkins ( if you really look for a good bargain but might have to ignore the comfort) or if you are seeing it as an investment like me then check at Russell&Bromley, L.K. Bennett.

1164101098_1_1_3This Patent leather platform court shoes have found a place in my shopping basket this weekend and i am a happy bunny 🙂 🙂 You will be bored seeing me in this pair, i warn you;) as it goes with almost every colour and any types of dress.

Try it!!! Nude feet it;)

Budget Fashionista

My fashionistas, I had been to a river Thames boat party  two weeks ago.

I have thought of a Look for the evening which will not cost me much and also which I can accessorize with bits and pieces from my existing wardrobe.

This silk heart print dress or frock (which I call ”POLKA HEART”) looks so cute that I thought to go with a high school hair-do by making a side-saddle with a front braid. I recently had a hair cut, so the length of my hair got a bit shorter (which I do not like), hence I have used a braided hairband. If you have longer hair, you can make it with your own hair.

So going back to the dress, it had a attached fire red belt, so I had to dig out the red rose wooden jewelleries I have and wore only the ring (it comes with a neckpiece) to keep the look minimal. I wanted to carry a clutch with strap to hang it on my shoulder to keep the ”girly-going-out”. Since the dress has collars, so I skipped wearing anything in the neck, instead I wore a pearl ear ring which is very French and English.
It’s still cold in London, hence I can’t go out bare legs, moreover it was a boatparty, you remember! It’s naturally colder than the city, so I wore this polka dot tights with my sky high color block platform heels. And last but not the least, nothing can go wrong with a pair of red lips, I told ya!!!

And all these you can grab at a price of a meal in any of the posh restaurants in London.
