They say, “What’s in a name?”, well – if a city’s name is embedded in the country’s name, then no wonder that there is something worthy out there to explore. What Porto is to Portugal is what breathing is to living it seems. Because Porto still being the 2nd largest city of Portugal, holds the most of the charm, history and energetic vibe the country has to offer. So if you have a couple of stop-overs planned in Portugal, certainly Porto must feature there. If you are thinking of visiting only one city in Portugal, shall we dare say that just visit Porto and you will not regret?
“She is a belle, or the one there, is she a belle?” You can continue to stir up the storm in your coffee cups while you check out what every woman is wearing in the café around you but know that probably the one who is the real belle is the one who got the dress from Izabel London – just makes your jaws drop and say, “She Iz-a-bel, isn’t she!”.
While you may claim insurance if your flight is delayed, you may not be entitled to claim compensation for late arrival of summer this year in London. Weather here is mercurial resulting in celebratory behaviour among the city dwellers in the first sight of sunshine and the first feel of proper balmy air. So was it the other weekend and we ventured out in the Regents Park to witness the first day first show of the supposedly short film in London called ‘Summer’.
My fashionistas, although my weekend is usually for having fun with friends, cleaning up the house or generally doing all those things you are unable to do during the week, sometimes is good to have a lazy weekend all to yourself. During this lazy weekend you do nothing but relax. You may go out for a walk or go to a spa, if that makes you feel good, or you could stay all day in bed, watching movies. This is supposed to fill you up with enough energy so you can function well in the week to follow. But you have to dress up even on lazy weekend for a relaxed walk in the neighborhood reservoir. While I keep a full closet stocked with tops and dresses of every pattern and color, shape and size, I’ve recently whittled down my summer wardrobe to the bare essentials: floral prints, neutral tops, sensible sandals and – of course- a summery cotton Kurti or tunic top. A watercolor printed blue and green Kurti with strings that are tied across the back are very cute, elegant, but comfortable at the same time. My summer wardrobe feels incomplete without a collection of cotton Kurtis from India in different prints and patterns.
