They say, “What’s in a name?”, well – if a city’s name is embedded in the country’s name, then no wonder that there is something worthy out there to explore. What Porto is to Portugal is what breathing is to living it seems. Because Porto still being the 2nd largest city of Portugal, holds the most of the charm, history and energetic vibe the country has to offer. So if you have a couple of stop-overs planned in Portugal, certainly Porto must feature there. If you are thinking of visiting only one city in Portugal, shall we dare say that just visit Porto and you will not regret?
Like a bonbon with a lasting sweet taste, Lisbon continued to charm us on the 3rd day straight on. Have a read of our experience on day 1 and day 2 before we share with you how we rounded up our Lisbon exploration on the 3rd day.
It was the last day of our epic voyage of Egypt- where it all began. We drove more than four hours south of Luxor, to Aswan and Edfu. The Temple of Horus at Edfu and Temple of Philae in Aswan were strikingly beautiful and different than Karnak or Luxor Temples. On way back, we caught an amazing light display by the setting sun on the river Nile as we draw the curtain to discover the land of the Pharaohs.
On our second day in Luxor, Egypt, we rose earlier than the sun and flew higher than it when we got into the hot air balloon which gently floated above the sleepy historic sites of Luxor. What an experience and what a sight to behold as we tick off another adventure. Later we kept our voyage velocity upbeat as we explored the Luxor museum, Karnak Temple, the Mummy museum and the Luxor Temple. Finally we saw the sun go down on River Nile as we sailed on a Felucca.
